Peter McCarthy
As our Buffalo Office’s Architecture Department Leader, Peter consistently delivers valuable and award-winning project work, including Onondaga Community College’s New School of Music and Performing Arts, the Mattamy National Cycling Center (a key venue for the 2015 Pan American Games), Niagara County Community College’s Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, Sabanci University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center, and University at Buffalo’s Heart of the Campus, One World Café project.
Pete is the founder of the Buffalo Office’s Emerge Group, which develops initiatives to support advancement and mentoring opportunities for young professionals. He is also a key member of the firm’s employee engagement team, which works to actively foster a healthy and supportive workplace environment. He is a tireless mentor for young architects in our firm, and a staunch advocate for community organizations. Pete serves on the Steering Committee for our Buffalo Urban Futures Forum series focused on enriching Buffalo’s urban center for future generations.
Peter was named Young Architect of the Year in 2014 by the Western New York AIA and is also a graduate of the Leadership in Buffalo, Rising Leaders class of 2015. He is also on the Steering Committee for our Buffalo Urban Futures Forum series focused on enriching Buffalo’s urban center for future generations.
