Melissa Gorman, AIA
What I value most about my work now is collaboration. What we can do together with our shared talents and expertise is far more than any of us can do alone. I’m currently in construction administration on the UCSD JMC, the most holistically collaborative construction process in which I’ve worked. Every day in CA can be an opportunity for conflict or for collaborative problem solving. I’ve been really fortunate to work with a team of architects and contractors who relish the chance to work through challenges and learn from each other. I also really enjoy working on BIM process improvements, which to me is really about how we work as teams and leverage our individual efforts.
