For me, design is about the juxtaposition of the physical world with an idea. When I was teaching, I always told my students to think physical. Understand the world around you and how it works and the great designs will follow. Less form follows function, more form follows physics.
Educated as both an architect and an engineer, Matt brings a perspective to each project that is unique and valuable to the clients he serves. As the Business Practice Leader for the Buffalo office, Matt is responsible for the development of high-performing, collaborative teams that meet the needs of our clients and succeed in project delivery. With over 20 years of experience, he has led a wide variety of projects, including managing many different client types in healthcare, education, municipal, commercial, as well as several projects for his alma mater, Virginia Tech. Matt was also an adjunct professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Architecture.
