John is an accomplished engineer who has held positions as a facilities engineer, project engineer, product developer, committee chairman, consulting editor, mentor, software specifications developer, and even naval officer. John’s exceptional professional achievements and positions of leadership are a hallmark of his technical skill, potential, and commitment to making a positive impact on the built environment and the engineering industry.
In 2005, he received ASPE’s “Award of Merit” for his work on drafting the design standard for siphonic roof drainage, designated ANSI/ASPE Technical Standard 45. In addition to his professional experience in the engineering field, he has delivered several seminars to regional ASPE chapters around the country and has taught technical seminars. Moreover, John helped develop patents for siphonic roof drains and recently published a novel.
