What happens inside research facilities charts the path of human progress, which inspires me. Research facilities engage every design muscle; they are technically challenging and socially complex. Our research clients want to be deeply engaged in the design of their labs and that shapes our open and collaborative approach.

Jeff Murray, FAIA, has been providing client-facing experiential and technical design leadership for complex projects supporting research and other knowledge work throughout his three-decade career. He is an excellent communicator, able to explain complex concepts and design issues to stakeholders and clients. He is a member of the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA) recognized for his leadership and innovation in the design of research facilities for a wide spectrum of scientific disciplines.

Jeff was a CH2M Fellow for his leadership on the design of R&D facilities with a focus on how design impacts human performance and collaboration. He has pioneered iterative and collaborative design processes that engage stakeholders as active participants in the design process. His work with corporate, government, and higher education clients includes the design of research and administrative facilities, high-performance building envelopes, renovations and additions, and smart buildings which integrate technology, sustainability, and resilience to improve occupant experience. He has presented at many national and international conferences on the human and technical aspects of architectural design.
