Brett E. Farbstein, LEED AP, CEM, CBCP, EBCP
Firmwide Commissioning Leader
I enjoy working with designers, contractors and owners to achieve high-performance projects that are energy efficient and sustainable for the environment, resilient to disturbances, and commissioned for operations.
Brett Farbstein is a senior commissioning engineer and project manager who oversees the firm’s commissioning services, quality control and development. He implements a comprehensive and client-focused turnover approach to whole-building commissioning – including MEP and enclosures – for new construction and existing buildings of various facility types and across market sectors.
Brett also acts as the firm’s resilient design leader. He champions the exposure of co-workers to current research and resources, encourages conversations with clients, and provides input on project teams. Brett is active with local and national organizations in developing industry standards and community resiliency resources. He has presented “Will Your Building Survive?” at the Architectural Boston Expo (ABX) and “Commissioning’s Role in Building Resiliency” at the National Conference on Building Commissioning (NCBC).
