Arjun Bhat, AIA, NCARB
I think architecture says a lot about our collective ambition as a society. My role as an architect is to make sure the part of our collective ambition that holds joy and optimism for our future is present in the buildings we design. I believe buildings are imbued with meaning by the people that work, live, learn, and play in them, and I find immense satisfaction in creating elegant stages upon which life’s little dramas can take place.
In the first 10 years of his career, Arjun’s design experience has spanned residential, institutional, healthcare, educational and urban design. Complementing his broad project experience is his background in architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture, all of which informs a holistic approach to design no matter the market. His role as project designer in our St. Louis office affords him the opportunity to work closely with clients and colleagues in shepherding the design vision for projects — leading design efforts that create architecture that clients, communities and the greater firm can be proud of. Arjun’s work has been the recipient of local regional, and international awards, and has been published in print and digital publications such as Architect, Architizer, ArchDaily, Dwell and the New York Times. Recognized as a leader within the firm, Arjun is also a member of CannonDesign’s NEXT Council where he partners with leadership to evolve our practice.
