Alison Leonard, AIA, EDAC
Health Practice Leader
Alison works closely with our Mental and Behavioral Health practice and our Texas offices. Her work has a direct impact on behavioral health services in Texas and beyond. As an evidence-based design certified architect, she is passionate in reducing the stigma around mental health issues by helping to create innovative treatment spaces for patient healing. Alison is focused on improving the patient, staff and visitor experience and understanding how operational needs of the client will affect the built environment. She aims to identify opportunities for innovation in each project including patient safety challenges and modular construction potential.
She also has been featured on local design press, is a member of the Women in Healthcare Texas chapter and is on the Advisory Board for AIA Dallas Columns magazine. In addition, Alison participated in the FGI Guidelines 2022 Revisions Committee for Behavioral Health.
