A Center for Competition and the Community
The Track and Field Training Facility at York University is a complete indoor and outdoor complex for year-round track and field training and competition use. The joint-use project, funded by the City of Toronto on York University property, is used extensively by the Ontario Track and Field Association, university teams and students, and the general public.
The center is reputedly the busiest field house in North America
Facilities include a 200-meter competitive track, training facilities, weight training rooms, support areas, and a sports medicine clinic for physiotherapy and treatment of athletic injuries. Outdoor areas include an 8-lane, 400-meter all-weather competition track, sprint tracks, vaulting and throwing areas surrounding a center playfield, with outdoor seating for up to 8,000 spectators.
