Virginia Tech is a university with an impressive tradition of track & field success. The renewed Rector Fieldhouse offers a leading-edge training environment for the schools athletes to train, prepare and push themselves to new limits.

Renovation efforts include the construction of a new throws area that can accommodate weighted throws and shot put with fluid seating for spectators. The effort also expands the building’s east side entrance and adds a new outdoor plaza and north wing. The renovations and additions mimic a look similar to nearby historic buildings on the campus to add to Virginia Tech’s dynamic, cohesive sports area on campus.
