A hub for health, recreation & wellness at UNC Charlotte
One of the University of North Carolina (UNC) Charlotte’s core values focuses on helping students lead healthy lives. Set to open in Summer 2019, UNC Charlotte’s new University Recreation Center is tangible evidence of the university’s commitment to its students’ health and wellness.
A dynamic hub for campus recreation, the 151,000 sf center will be the university’s first facility fully dedicated to campus recreation. Responding to growing student demand and enrollment, the building offers a wide variety of recreation opportunities thanks to multi-purpose courts, indoor and outdoor pools, group fitness studios, a cycling studio, an elevated running/walking track, space for cardiovascular and weight training and more.
UNC Charlotte’s new recreation center empowers students to be active and pursue fitness in exciting new ways. Designed to accommodate students’ needs now and into the future, the center is equipped to drive long-term value for the university, its students, and the campus community.
