Partnerships in Education and Community
The new academic building for Texas Tech University Health Science Center on the Permian Basin campus doubles the academic space on campus with new studio classrooms, three PT/OT training labs, research labs and departmental offices for the schools of medicine, nursing and health professions. Classrooms support active learning and include extensive data communications for distance learning.
Designed to help recruit and retain faculty, staff and future healthcare professionals, the building will offer the unique opportunity to engage all schools and departments in partnership, service and interdisciplinary work. This engagement extends to the Medical Center Hospital with a shared community education and conference center with movable walls. The project maximizes limited available resources with efficient planning and flexible, adaptable, multi-use functions.
