Achieving a State of Readiness

As health systems throughout the U.S. are well aware, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently adopted the National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) 2012 edition of the Life Safety Code (LSC), as well as provisions of the NFPA’s 2012 edition of the Health Care Facilities Code. All health facilities that participate in Medicare and/or Medicaid must comply with these code changes.
