Massimo Giaffari Joins as Health Practice Client Leader in Houston

We are pleased to announce that Massimo Giaffari, AIA, OAA, has joined our firm as a Vice President and Health Practice Client Leader.

Based in our Houston office, he will partner with visionary health organizations across Texas as they align design solutions with their goals for the future. He’ll help them confront challenges, uncover new possibilities and bring projects to life. Massimo will also play an integral role in the office’s business development strategy, managing client relationships as well as leading and mentoring project teams.
Massimo’s global experience as a healthcare designer bolsters not only our Houston office but also our global health practice. In addition to leading projects, he will introduce new client opportunities that build on our recent work with the Texas Children’s Hospital, University of Texas Medical Branch, MD Anderson Cancer Center and more.

“Becoming a part of CannonDesign and joining the talented ranks of its Houston office during this time of growth is an incredible opportunity,” said Massimo. “CannonDesign’s philosophy of Living-Centered Design aligns with how I want to work with clients and move forward to help them seize opportunities and thrive. Our health practice is doing some truly extraordinary work and I am excited to contribute to growing our Houston office and beyond.”

Massimo has more than 20 years of experience working as an architect, project manager, healthcare planner and more. The bulk of his experience is in Canada, working on construction and renovation of inpatient and acute care hospitals, mental healthcare facilities, children’s hospitals and more. He has also worked on healthcare projects in the Middle East. Recently he spent six years at Infrastructure Ontario, where he managed major healthcare and justice projects through all stages of planning, procurement and construction.

“Massimo’s breadth of experience working on projects throughout their entire lifespan will be an incredible asset to our office,” said Kristin Ledet, our Houston Office Practice Leader. “His experience will bring a new depth to our healthcare practice and grow current client relationships and nurture new ones.”
