Andrew joins CannonDesign from Perkins&Will where he led its Houston studio and focused on large-scale projects, mentoring young designers and building a design-forward practice. He’s designed buildings for leading-edge organizations across the country, including MD Anderson, UT Health, Mayo Clinic, Duke University, Argonne National Laboratory and more. His recent projects include the Mayo Clinic’s Mangurian Outpatient Building, Legacy Community Health’s Sharpstown Clinic, Bowie State University’s Center for Nursing Sciences and Mathematics and Bridgestone North American Headquarters Tower.
Reflecting on his decision to rejoin CannonDesign, Andrew notes the transformation the firm has experienced. “Unarguably, CannonDesign is recognized as one of the most innovative in the profession,” he said. “I’m excited to be back and to push the boundaries of design alongside some of the most creative designers and thinkers around.”
Andrew went on to say that by expanding our design studios in Texas, our firm is able to benefit from a rapidly growing population and cultural and talent base, and work with national institutional leaders like the Texas Medical Center and the many leading companies moving to the region. “CannonDesign is a fully integrated practice that puts conceptual design leaders on the same team as highly specialized subject matter experts, resulting in projects that set the leading-edge benchmarks of their respective specialties,” he said.
