Providing important student activity space.
The Student Recreation Center opened earlier this year and provides needed additional fitness and activity spaces for UC Riverside students and the campus community at large. The center offers expanded weight and cardio areas, swimming pools, sand volleyball courts, an indoor rock climbing wall, jogging track, Multi-Activity Courts (MAC) and space for individual and group fitness. The expansion also integrates with the existing building and site creating a unified recreation complex that offers striking views of the surrounding campus and Box Springs Mountains.
