On February 10th CannonDesign Toronto employees participated in the We Care event.
For those that don’t know “We Care” is a charity event that is hosted by Herman Miller for children in the community that brings together a number of local design firms in order to host a holiday gathering for children. The Toronto design firms are asked to come up with a craft idea that could be executed by children ages 4 to 12.
The event had over 200 children and crafts varied in size and approach, however one common denominator was the happiness and pleasure children had in putting together and taking home their crafts creations.
After a brainstorming session our team came up with the idea of 3D garland, that children could customize to their likings.
The team helped children select their pieces and put them together, personalized with a message to the loved ones. The entire event went in a glimpse of an eye as the team constantly attended to the children.
This event would not have been possible without the participation, dedication and hard work of the following CD Toronto employees: Carmen Nieto, Loloa Alkasawat, Jad Asma, Justin Hung, Jason Chang, Victoria Chow, Marie Nguyen and Ilinca Popa.
Special thanks to CD Toronto leadership for their support.
