Creating Your First Net Zero Energy Building: Best Practices and Lessons Learned at Ohlone College
The need to create more sustainable built environments is a fact. This pressing need is driving a push across the building sector to create Net-Zero Energy (NZE) facilities. Still, while many are talking and chasing NZE, it remains a daunting achievement. This presentation will share best practices and lessons learned from the design process for Ohlone Community College’s rejuvenated academic core as it pursues NZE. The presentation will address the unique challenges and opportunities that arise based on climate, regional environments and sustainability initiatives that play into NZE.
