Physical learning environments play a key role in educational outcomes, with data showing students who study in dynamic and positive learning spaces exhibit increased motivation, engagement and content retention. So, what does that mean for the future of designing PK-12 schools?
In partnership with the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, our team has developed an innovative approach to designing schools that help all students achieve their full potential. In this webinar, Michael Corb and Troy Hoggard will join the senior director of creative experiences for the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh to discuss the process of designing a new K-6 school that emulates a children’s museum. When it opens in fall 2022, the school will introduce students, staff and families to exciting new ideas around how corridors and walls are used, the building and surrounding natural environment can be teaching tools, adaptability allows for constant curation of physical learning spaces, and how space can take students on learning journeys.
