Earth Day Panel: Designing Buildings to Improve Occupant Health

We are excited to host an Earth Day Panel focused on Designing Buildings to Improve Occupant Health Thursday, April 22 from noon-1 PM ET.

The event is open to any and all and those interested can RSVP online. The event is approved by the AIA for 1 LU/HSW. Here is a full abstract and speaker list.

Designing Buildings to Improve Occupant Health
Traditional buildings contain a toxic mix of chemicals that impact and disrupt human health.  We now have the ability to dive deep into the chemistry of building products so we can carefully select materials that avoid known carcinogens.  In this panel discussion, you’ll hear from leaders in material health who will share their tools and strategies to deliver healthy buildings.  You’ll discover how to discover, specify and implement healthy materials that positively affect human health.  A healthier built environment can boost student test performance, improve patient recovery outcomes, and reduce employee sick days.

Finally, the event will demonstrate for attendees how to utilize this “outcomes-based” approach to health and wellness to create strategies for their own clients and institutional campuses moving forward. You won’t want to miss it.

Panelists include:

  • Jack Dinning, Sustainability and Material Health Specialist, Brightworks
  • Bergen Hubert, Manager, Built Environment, Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute
  • Annie Bevan, Executive Director, Mindful Materials
  • Moderated by Audrey Dittmar, Material Health Specialist, CannonDesign
