Join our pediatric health practice leader, Diane Osan, for a breakfast talk at the Canadian Association of Paediatric Healthcare Centres (CAPHC) Conference on Oct. 23 from 8 to 9 a.m. The session, titled “Women in Leadership,” will be moderated by Diane and will include panelists Jennifer Gillivan, President & CEO, IWK Health Centre Foundation, Julia Hanigsberg, President & CEO, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, and Dr. Susan Gilmour, Chief & Chair of Paediatrics, Stollery Children’s Hospital. Read the session description below:
Women hold a unique position in healthcare. They comprise over 80% of the workforce, yet they hold fewer leadership positions in health research, academia and hospital administration. Women are also under-represented on governance boards of healthcare delivery institutions, research institutes and regional health authorities.
Join this panel of emerging and executive female leaders in child health for a fireside chat to learn what motivates their leadership, and how they leverage compassion, transparency and diversity to break through the glass ceiling.
The CAPHC represents health service delivery organizations across the continuum of care in child and youth health. Members range from large tertiary academic centres and rehabilitation hospitals, to community treatment centres and home/respite care providers. With close to 400 health professionals and leaders in attendance, the CAPHC Annual Conference is the largest meeting of child and youth health service providers in Canada.
