Our own Amir Razaei, Brian Bassett and Patrick Dempsey will present at the Building Performance Analysis Conference and SimBuild in Chicago on Sept. 28 from 9:10 to 10:10 a.m. Their presentation, “Net Zero Energy Hospital Design via Simulator: An Architect and Engineer’s Perspective,” will explore two vital perspectives on the work of net-zero energy design to help bolster hospital design, and how different modeling strategies can be adopted to predict actual energy consumption.
The conference is co-presented by ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA. ASHRAE focuses on promoting building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability within the industry; IBPSA-USA’s mission is to advance and promote the science of building simulation in order to improve the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of new and existing buildings in the United States. As co-hosts, this should prove to be highly informative and collaborative.
