Brad Lukanic, AIA joins a panel – “Firm Handbook and Best Practices for Office Policies” – where industry leaders share their experience and knowledge and offer advice for best practices for improving or preparing the firm handbook to be relevant in today’s workplace environment. The event, hosted by AIA New York, will be held on Aug. 21, 2019, 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Center for Architecture.
In the wake of the #MeToo movement in the architecture community, and with the release of Part I of the AIA Guides for Equitable Practice, many firms are revisiting their employee manuals or firm handbooks to ensure proper procedures are implemented. These include providing an equitable workplace with policies and benefits to serve the staff and the firm.
Brad joins panelists Angelica Ruano, Founder and Principal, Plainspace Architecture & Design; Diane Windholz, Labor and Employment Attorney, Jackson Lewis; Joel Peterson, Associate Director of Human Resources, KPF; along with moderators Maya Porath & Priyanka Shah, The Architecture Lobby.
