Devan Mitchell

Devan Mitchell has 20 years’ professional experience in all aspects of planning and design for award-winning K-12, higher education and civic projects. She has played an instrumental role in developing environments that foster improved performance and outcomes. As a trusted client advisor, Devan prides herself on leading a creative and collaborative design process that results in projects that uniquely define each client’s needs.
From the project outset through design and implementation, she builds consensus among stakeholders and assists clients to create flexible spaces that provide adaptability to future program needs and uses. Devan is a Visiting Critic at the University of Southern California (USC), CalPoly-Pomona, and Sci-ARC, and is a studio mentor for professional practice courses at Woodbury University. She is active in the Urban Land Institute and the American Farmland Trust.
